I had to get an 8/9/10 post in!! Great date format and one I feel is better than last year’s 7/8/09.
Anyhoo… On to more serious matters and it looks like the International break has left a few players nursing injuries.
Arsenal’s Robin van Persie is out until mid October and also Theo Walcott looks to be out for a couple of weeks after hurting his ankle in England’s win over Switzerland last night.
Spurs defender Michael Dawson is out for up to 6 weeks and Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt out for 4 weeks, both injured playing for their countries.
Update – Man City’s Mario Balotelli could also be out for 6 weeks as he will be undergoing knee surgery and in late transfer news, Everton’s James Vaughan has joined Crystal Palace for 3 months on loan.
On a more positive note, Chelsea’s John Terry and Frank Lampard could be back in time for this weekend’s matches.
