A few things to note from today’s games;
Is the Vardy and Mahrez show over? Leicester top the table after a 1-1 draw at bottom club Villa but Vardy again failed to score and Mahrez missed another penalty. These may be of some concern to FFL managers.
We saw the best and worst of John Terry, scoring at both ends and scoring the equalizer against Everton in the 99th minute after being a yard offside. His commitment, to the end, is to be recognised. As with his Chelsea team mates, they kept going after initially being 2-0 and Everton looking comfortable. The Toffees just can’t hang on to a lead! Costa scored but also went off injured.
Aguero scored a brace in City’s comfortable 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace – a return to form?
Newcastle beat West Ham 2-1 with in-form Georginio Wijnaldum again scoring for the Magpies.
Finally, beware of adding Sunderland’s new centre back Jan Kirchhoff to your team. The German debutant had a shot deflected in off himself and gave away a penalty as Spurs beat them 4-1 – Christian Eriksen with a brace. Despite the Black Cats conceding goals, defender Patrick van Aanholt seems to be banging in goals left right and centre.
